THE CLINICA - Midtown Toronto in Toronto

Unfortunately, my recent experience with THE CLINICA- MIDTOWN was extremely disappointing compared to my previous review. The level of customer service has declined significantly, and the attitude toward clients has become unprofessional and condescending. During one visit, my credit card was taken and its details were written down on a note and left on the desk, which is completely unacceptable and raises serious security concerns. When I objected, the office manager responded in a rude and disrespectful manner instead of apologizing or addressing the issue properly. In addition, their website does not provide a clear option to cancel or reschedule appointments. Despite calling multiple times, no one answered the phone. Later, I was charged $50 CAD without receiving any service, which further worsened the experience. The new office manager’s behavior is a major reason customers are being driven away. At this point, I do not recommend visiting this clinic, as the focus seems to be on charging customers rather than providing respectful and professional care. My advice to the clinic is to seriously reconsider its front-desk management and customer service approach before it is too late.

Kayla burned my eyebrow while giving me a M22 treatment. She knew the fact that she burned my eyebrow, and when I point it out to her, the first thing she said was “So you wanna have an unibrow?”. No apologize at all, she tried to avoid taking the accountability and was really rude to brush me off. Please avoid booking appointments with Kayla if you don’t want any accident and careless service. I personally will never give her a second chance to touch my face again.

This past weekend I treated myself for my birthday to a facial at Clinica Midtown—only my second facial ever and my first one in over seven years. My skin desperately needed attention and lots of love, so it was about time I made an appointment for one. As customer service is vital with spa treatments—especially in a post-pandemic era—I honestly had no idea what to expect from my experience at this med spa. I was highly impressed with everything from start to finish, and I rate the entire team at Clinica a 10/10. They were professional, knowledgeable, and attentive, and I 100% would go back for another service. I was first very warmly—and genuinely—greeted by my consultant, Hatel, who took my jacket, offered me some water, and briefly went through the entire service menu of Clinica’s offerings before she explained how my afternoon was about to unfold. She then took me into a room where we scanned my face using this machine with software called VISIA that measured the “true age” of my skin. I was pleasantly surprised to find I had little bacteria and UV damage (yayyy sunscreen! lol), but I also learned I had some enlarged pores from exercising lots and wrinkles because of life. She thoroughly reviewed the scanner’s results with me and never once pressured me into buying something else or tried to upsell me. Hatel was highly informative, personable, and the highlight of my first experience at Clinica. Next, the esthetician, Angela, took me upstairs into a room to do the HydraGlow facial. She went through every step thoroughly and educated me on the products she used on my face. I felt relaxed with the music, and I truly enjoyed it. Extractions are never pleasant, but I appreciated her aggressive yet gentle touch. She was very thorough and made my trip worthwhile. After all, I wanted the facial to be effective! At the end of the facial, she even gave me a gift bag with some samples of products she had used on me--wow! Again, I am returning to Clinica for my next facial—and I honestly cannot wait! I will also return for my next one in less than seven years! lol
