Smudge Beauty Bar in Ottawa

Came with my niece for pedicure awhile ago. Cute shop , love the plants , beautiful decor. Staff was nice- it seems the aroma and has a funky smell almost like reefer or skunk tho which I found rather off putting after an hour long. Otherwise decent service considering the price you pay. Definitely will be recommending this place furthermore to friends!!

Over priced and poor management! No reception to pick up calls or assist with bookings or issues. I had to book online since there was no one to answer calls. Upon arriving to my appointment I was informed that I booked the incorrect nail removal and that there wouldn’t be enough time to finish the rest of the nails. The nail technician was super professional and did her best to be able to finish my nails in the limited time. Emailed administrator to complain about the need for a receptionist but still no response. Furthermore, ALL OF NAILS peeled off within 5 days and when I again tried to call and to see what can be done there’s no one to answer calls. Don’t bother with this place!

-First time going; I had my nails done by Julia and she did a wonderful job bringing my vision to life. We went in and made a few adjustments but I was so happy when we were done. I fell and one of my nails popped off a week after I got them done. Julia redid it free of charge as well as stayed late to do so and even gave me a paraffin wax hand treatment. She gave exceptional service and is so nice to talk to. - Second time going; Julia ate it up once again. She does an amazing job every time making the nails that I want to get come to life. I always love talking to her, and it’s always so comfortable.

Smudge is a gorgeous, clean studio with wonderful staff. Madison is my ride or die for manicures and nail art in Ottawa! Her manicures last weeks without chipping and her artistry always blows me away. I love that she is always down to bring my vision to life.

I love going to Smudge. The vibes inside are so chill and everyone who works there is really nice and welcoming. I usually get my nails done with Julia. She is very talented, and very professional. My nails always look fantastic! Julia is also a very smart young woman who can have a very nice conversation while you are there! I truly enjoy going there and I always look forward to my appointments. From the decor, to the lovely ladies, to the amazing nails, Smudge is THE place to be!!
