Smooth Wax Bar in Toronto

By far, the worst experience I have ever had. I scheduled an appointment for this morning, the lady told me I could come slightly past 9:10 AM because I have a Spa appointment at 10:15 around the corner and then a family photo shoot for Christmas in the afternoon. I spoke to the receptionist at 9:12 AM and let her know I was about three minutes away, keeping in mind that I was told I could come slightly after 9:10 AM and they would make it work. I arrived and they had switched my appointment with the person ahead of me without talking to me or calling me to let me know. This meant that I missed out on spending more time with my infant child at home because I drove here to make this appointment from Etobicoke, not to mention they had me on the phone when this other client arrived and gave her my slot without talking to me. I don’t know what kind of business this is, but that is the most unprofessional outrageous thing I have ever witnessed as a customer anywhere. Not to mention when I said how That was not acceptable, she tried to find a bunch of excuses as to why she did it. Including thinking that she was giving me more time, even though she didn’t ask me, and then try to make an excuse of the one page form that you have to fill out, saying that I wouldn’t have been able to make my slot. Keeping in mind that she had already said that if anything I could’ve at least had my eyebrows done but now I have absolutely nothing done for my weekend. Would honestly avoid this place just offer customer service alone, horrible horrible horrible experience beyond disappointed.

I have been going to Smooth for years now, since I moved into the area. It’s clean and they never double dip! I really like the membership and packages they offer, great value if you are a regular. Ashley is who I see a she is beyond amazing! So good and just a great person overall who makes the experience easier. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Ashley for a few years now for waxing, and I can't recommend her enough. She cares about her clients, and she is great at her work. Out of all the times I've been over the years, my skin only reacted slightly badly one time (nobody's fault, just sensitivity). Not only was I able to communicate with Ashley for advice for care, but she remembered and kept it in mind in her approach for all my subsequent waxes. Everyone I have met at Smooth Wax Bar has been very kind and welcoming, caring and helpful, booking multiple services is easy through email or over the phone, and the space is nice and clean. Waxing can be a vulnerable experience, and I always feel safe and comfortable with Ashley and at Smooth Wax Bar (Liberty Village).

I visited Smooth Wax Bar for the first time yesterday and couldn’t be happier with the results. I was honestly a bit nervous going in but Ashley was an absolute gem! She was kind, understanding, and made me feel completely at ease by walking me through every step of the process. She was also very accommodating with my last-minute requests. Fast, efficient, and incredibly skilled Ashley delivered amazing results! I’m so glad I found this place; it’s officially my go-to wax bar in Toronto. Highly recommend!

it was my first time getting waxed and Ashley was amazing! she was super quick and pretty painless (i would rate it a 4/10) on the pain scale. she answered all the questions i had about aftercare and helped ease my worries since it was my first time. I will definitely be coming back!
