I was really looking forward to trying out this spot but unfortunately it was really disappointing. We booked the expecting mom manicure for me and the kids manicure for my daughter as a special treat on my birthday, and while the staff was super kind, the manicures were really poorly done. The mom manicure promised specialty products and extra massage, but the service itself was a very basic manicure that was applied way too thick, barely given a topcoat, no cuticle oil… it chipped the same day, and there was no extra massage element, just a super quick hand massage as usual. The kids manicure was described as an offering with special child friendly polishes, but my daughter just picked something off the wall and no one really explained the choices for her - the tech also put two super thick layers of polish on her tiny nails so it took AGES to dry (not ideal for a five year old’s first manicure!) Overall I would say the descriptions on the website don’t match the reality of the services, and it’s not really worth paying extra to go here versus any other Vancouver nail spot.

I went to this salon to get a mani for a friends birthday. The salon is well decorated and my nail tech was really nice! However, my cuticles were absolutely destroyed and several days later, they are still extremely painful. During the appointment, I did tell my nail tech several times that it was painful when she was drilling my cuticles but she told my my nail beds were simply too sensitive and I didn’t want to make a fuss because I was there for someone else’s birthday. Also, although it was painful, it didn’t look as bad at the time as she’d applied some blood stopper. The photos attached are from the next day where you can clearly see that ALL of them are cut. One even reopened and bled quite a lot. Despite the nice ambience of the salon, I would not recommend this experience as it’s very painful and increases risk of infection. I also want to point out that I get my nails done frequently and this has never happened before.

Absolutely incredible salon! I recently moved to Vancouver and have been looking for a new nail salon and I am so happy to have finally found it! The first time I went, Lee and Nav were incredible that I couldn’t wait to go back. The salon itself is very nice and clean, the staff are friendly and the service is very thorough with a very relaxing hot towel and massage. They also have an excellent variety of colours. I can’t stop looking at my nails I love them so much! Thank you :’)

Well I guess I’m the one of unlucky customer. Worst experience doing my nails so far. My first time went there and I left so disappointed. I was so excited to get my first vegan nail polish that day. I’m living in Coquitlam, that day was so excited to have my appointment at 9.00 on my only day off for the week. Lena was the person who did my Maia mani. I was there and waited couple minutes until you guys opened. But suddenly I wasn’t feeling welcome right after I came in , she didn’t even ask me anything even the basic questions when you greet customers specially in service industry, so that time I was the one who asked her first instead. And then when did the nails I asked her can I do nail art, she said we didn’t have time which is I understand I didn’t put add on services on my appointment and I asked again to put stickers on my nail because it will be quick. And she answered if we have time. I was so disappointed and didn’t have mood to do my nails to be honest(my day off and self care mood was ruined). I don’t understand about customer time slots but I felt she did my nail like we were in a rush to catch something, she ended up did it not neat and not even asked me how was it after shaping. Until the next customer came in I felt she did my nails more rushing even in the end we had time to do stickers. But not even 24 hours and after got home I saw my my nail polish chipped already and stickers looked folded (while I got charged for $2 per sticker). So I decided to sent email to fix my nails and my first email got respond and you guys told me something wrong with the sealing process which is she didn’t do it properly probably. And after asked about availability you guys didn’t responded for couple days until I followed up and you guys said it went to junk. And I asked again about availability to fix it because I’m working too and living so far. So I need to wait until day off to go there. Tried to asked perfect time to squish me in, but again after couples email I never heard anything from you guys anymore to fix my nails until this time. I never feel so disappointed to do my nails until this happened to me. I felt wasted my money and time for nothing (not the good nail result nor the service). I don’t mind to spend more if I get what I’m looking for and get good customer service. But this one sorry to say 💔

Today was my first time with Joyride and I must say, my husband and I had a great time. Booking appointment was really easy (we did it through phone call). Both our manicure and pedicure stations were ready before we arrived (which was very professional). We were asked to sanitize our hands upon entering, all staff was wearing masks and there weren’t any other clients except we two (which made us feel comfortable and safe). Anahita was my technician while Melinda was my husband’s. They both were extremely knowledgeable, kind and welcoming. We even indulged in small talks which was sweet I thought. They also provided hot towels after pedicure and manicure which was heavenly. I loved the vibe too 🥰 Overall a pleasant experience. I will be trying their facial too. Highly recommended.
