Art of Electrolysis in Toronto

I have officially been seeing Azka for 1 year and this review is long overdue for how much of an impact this woman has had on my life. I cannot even begin to express how much Azka has changed my entire life and view on myself. I have been insecure about my body hair my entire life, and I have a TON of it. I did laser for 10 years, tried different machines and technicians and the hair kept coming back. When I finally gave up and tried electrolysis, I tested out 4 different professionals in Toronto because I was skeptical after years of useless laser treatments, and Azka is truly a master at her craft. She should be indoctrinated into the hall of fame of electrolysists. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and truly, deeply cares that each of her clients is getting results. Talk to her for 10 minutes and you will see what I’m talking about, she is a master at this. I think about her literally everyday. Everyday I wakeup and don’t have a beard full of chin hair that I need to pluck, or a fuzzy blanket covering my cheek that I need to shave, I think about how greatful I am for her work and how fortunate i am to have found her 😭 The hair is gone, forever. I no longer have to plan my life around my facial hair. I cannot express in words how significant of an impact she has had on my life and my overall self confidence and mental health. I am so greatful for her everyday. And not only is she truly incredible at her craft, but her bedside manor could not be anymore perfect. This woman is god herself, she is the best electrolysis you can find, trust me I tested them all. I will be inviting Azka to my wedding, including her in my will, i literally owe her my life. So much love and praise to Azka and Art of Electrolysis! She is super professional, dedicated, and extraordinarily talented at what she does. Plus she is generous and warm and I genuinely love going to my appointments because I have a great time, which is saying something because I’m getting my face repeatedly electro-zapped. Azka has created such a welcoming space at Art of Electrolysis. It’s got good vibes, is clean and cutely decorated (last time I was in, it was Hallowe’eny with a little candy bar dispensary), and she always has a fun playlist on. I’ve been seeing Azka since January 2024. I had done a few sessions of laser hair removal on my upper lip and chin, but most of my hair is very fair, and I was referred to Azka. The ‘before’ photo here is from Jan 2024 and I don’t think it even captures the extent of my facial hair, because of how much blonde hair was hiding in there. I was very skeptical about electrolysis, or really any permanent hair removal. I’d had a consult at another place that wasn’t horrible by any means, but wasn't the nicest space, and the practitioner didn't seem particularly familiar with trans clients. The experience did not inspire confidence. I think I sobbed afterwards because it made the process feel SO daunting considering the amount of time, energy, and money. I’m so glad I was eventually referred to Azka and that I decided to go forward with electrolysis. The last photo is from Oct 29, about 3 months since the last touch up appointment. I am honestly amazed with the work Azka has done. I am delighted to say that I can’t remember the last time I picked up a razor to shave my face. The results have been life-changing. I was a skeptic but now I believe!

Azka is just phenomenal - knowledgeable, meticulous, professional, etc. After only a couple of sessions have already seen a marked improvement. Can’t recommend her highly enough - feel incredibly lucky to have found her, and hope to pass that luck along to anyone scrolling reviews in search of an electrologist.

I would recommended Art of Electrolysis to anyone who is considering getting it. My upper lip was one of my biggest insecurities my whole life, and before electrolysis, I was at a point where I was having to wax/thread it biweekly. After a year with Azka, I have little to no growth, I couldn’t be happier with the results. Electrolysis hurts, but Azka does such a great job at making you feel comfortable. She is so professional, friendly, and warm, and makes it an easier process overall. Would recommend Azka & electrolysis 100 times over!

I can't recommend Azka at Art of Electrolysis enough! After years of doing laser hair removal, I wanted something more permanent but my first experience with electrolysis elsewhere was awful: incredibly painful, overpriced, and the technician plucked the hairs. After dealing with this original technician, I felt discouraged and hesitant to try again. Then I found Azka, and everything changed. From the moment I stepped into her studio, I felt instantly at ease. She’s incredibly professional, warm, and takes the time to clearly explain how electrolysis works which is rare! Not only is the process with Azka significantly less painful than my previous experience, but I’ve also had no hives or bumps after my sessions. Her pricing is fair, her schedule is flexible, and she’s just such a lovely person to spend time with. I actually look forward to my appointments with her! As for the results, I couldn't be happier. Even after just one session, I noticed immediate improvement. No regrowth in the treated areas and such a clean, smooth finish. If you're thinking about electrolysis, do yourself a *HUGE* favour and book with Azka. She's the BEST.
