The Spa at the Old Mill in Toronto

This is the most accurate and true 5 star rating I have ever given. The Old Mill exceeds every expectation! Went for the holiday brunch buffet. It’s was spectacular! The setting and atmosphere are fantastic, the food and selection supurb, with everything tasting like it’s homemade, and the staff was very courteous and friendly. It’s a little on the expensive side, but in terms of value relative to other places where I have spent the equivalent amount, it was a terrific value! My family loved it, and we will certainly be going back as an annual holiday tradition. You must check it out!!

This was our 1st visit to the Old Mill Spa. We came for our 10 year Anniversary and booked a side by side massage. You are greeted by very warm staff. Water and coffee were complimentary which was nice. Our RMT's were Tina and Alex who did a great job! Both my wife and I left feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated I would recommend this spa to anyone. Thank you Old Mill Spa!

Last year, I purchashed a $300 gift card for my wife as a Christmas present with the hope that she would enjloy a wonderful day at the spa. Today, she chose to try the spa (November 8) .Unbeknownst to me, the gift card I purchased was for 'The Old Mill Toronto'. The Old Mill and the Old Mill Spa are adjacent to one another and even though I grew up in the neighbourhood I had no idea that the Spa and the rest of the facility were not one and the same as a business entity. My wife would say that the spa experience itself was fantastic. The staff were polite, professional, courteous and most apologetic when the gift card presented was not one that the spa would be able to accept (a change since 2020). The Manager, Christina McDougall, on the otherhand was a complete nightmare. Initially she refused to speak to my wife, prefering to have the staff try to explain why her gift card would not be honoured. Reluctantly, with me on the phone the manager came out of hiding and openly chastised my wife in front of the staff in the reception area and another customer who came in person to buy a gift card. In a tone that can only be deemed as condescending, and demeaning Christina McDougall took the phone raised her voice and asked me "what did I not understand and that my request would be like taking a Tim Horton's card to Starbucks and expecting them to redeem it". I was taken aback by her aggressive tone. It was astounding, I had not raised my voice, I simply tried to explain what had happened. I had purchased the gift certificate online. Eventually, she told me I would havec to go to the Old Mill and ask for a refund. I don't know who the owner of this facility is, but I hope she or he will address the manner in which Christina problem solves. I'm not sure that I am aware of any business model that thrives on adopting a combative stance with a customer that has just spent $500 at their establishment. But this is a first impression that will not forgotten. The manager, unlike the staff failed to demonstrate, leadership, understanding, patience or basic civility with a paying customer. I also hope that the owners of these two business entities will do something to honour gift cards or will each make it clear when purchasing a gift card that it can not be used at the adjoining facility.

This was mine and my husband's first time here at the Old Mill Spa. We came for our 10 year Anniversary to do a facial treatment. The staff was amazing, I had a last minute surprise for my husband and they all assisted me to execute the surprise. Stefania did our facials for us and she did an amazing job, this was my second facial ever and I feel great. I would recommend this spa to anyone.

My husband and I had a couples massage this afternoon, how was a Swedish massage and mine was a prenatal massage (I am 38 weeks pregnant). Jessalyn was AMAZING! She was so kind and made me feel so comfortable and welcome. I would highly recommend her! My husband also had a great massage with Alex. We will certainly be back!!
