Skinfolio Park Royal in Vancouver

I was pleasantly surprised by how thorough and amazing my facial was at Skinfolio at Park Royal! Sometimes, you get the impression that just because it's a spa within a mall, the service might be hurried or subpar. Definitely not the case here. My skin felt thoroughly cleansed, hydrated, and glowy afterwards. Unfortunately, I was just visiting from California and I decided to do the facial with my bestie as she had a gift card to burn (in fact, this review is quite delayed, sorry!). Vivian was such a wonderful aesthetician--really took the time to review what I'm looking for and what my skin's needs are, as well as explain what she was doing. She provided me with a customized facial that felt like two or three facials in one. Plus Vivian was simply so lovely to chat with! I highly recommend her and Skinfolio.

To my own surprise, I found myself wanting a skin care procedure. I follow a self prescribed regiment at home, but I realized that my pores were clogged and I could get a professional cleaning for once. My search lead me to Skinfolio at Park Royal and I could not be happier with the choice I made. Right of the bat, I was greeted by Valerie, she enthusiastically walked me through all of their services and I had my eye on a few other treatments right away. For my original purposes Valerie recommended a facial, which I agreed to. Nancy - the technician who performed the procedure was very knowledgeable and satisfied my curiosity completely. I had a billion questions about the machines and the effects on the skin, and she walked me through everything, while doing the treatment. You could tell she is very experienced, because she was very gentle, but also very precise with her movements. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and I really forgot that I was inside a busy shopping mall. The treatment rooms feel private and secluded and they also had relaxing tunes playing - very tasteful selection. They offered me hot beverages and attended to my needs wholeheartedly. I was also surprised by the washroom, which apart from being extra clean, also featured a wall sized mirror, with a small label, hinting it's for selfies. I couldn't resist, although I'm not usually the kind for that. After the procedure I could definitely feel that my face is much cleaner. Not only were the pores cleaned up properly, which was my main concern, but it was also a pleasant surprise to see my face muscles being slightly more toned, skin hydrated and overall look rejuvenated. Additionally, the kind staff gave me a take-home bag with some samples and things to use after the treatment, which was a small gesture that I appreciated very much. Overall, I am very satisfied with the procedure I got and overall reception. I was just hoping to clean my pores, but what I got was a great relaxing experience which made me look and feel younger. I highly recommend Skinfolio at Park Royal for your skincare needs. A special thank you to Valerie and Nancy for treating me like royalty.

I’ve been thinking about posting this review for a while because I’ve had decent experiences with Skinfolio in the past, which is why I returned. But unfortunately, my most recent encounter with them was horrible. I came in for Botox and shortly after, developed a severe breakout/infection/reaction across my forehead - from the botox - that lasted for a month and a half. I work in entertainment so this affected my work opportunities. I emailed them with photos, and was only told to send more images — no real help, no explanation, and no proper follow-up. I even went to the clinic twice hoping to speak to a doctor, but no one was available either time. There was no follow up. I called multiple times leaving messages and again no follow up. The ghosted me. What’s most disappointing is the complete lack of care or concern. There was no attempt to check in, follow up, or offer any real support. It honestly felt like as soon as there was an issue, they ghosted me. For a professional medical aesthetics clinic, I expected more responsibility, communication, and compassion. Sadly, I can't recommend Skinfolio based on this experience.

I have been going to Skinfolio for almost two years, and I am very happy with the services that I receive every single time. The staff and doctors are experiencing professional and super nice. They use high quality products such as SkinCeuticals and Zo! Highly recommended.
