Poised Nails Coal Harbour - IS as affordable as it gets in West End Vancouver! Trust me…. I’ve been looking into and trying new places for months. The affordability of this place does not undermine the talent and attention to detail of the ladies who work here. I enjoy that the ladies don’t seem overly talkative..I can just sit back and relax. However, I didn’t love getting my nails painted on a pillow with a hand towel over it…I’m unsure if this is the norm for last minute appointments or not. I’ve never experienced that anywhere else. They also don’t have massage chairs and I find most other places in the area do. It would be a nice upgrade but I understand that’s a hefty price for a smaller business. All in all this if my nail place of choice and where I like to get my brows threaded. I really left the brow threading, shaping, whatever magic they do in the hands of the lady who was threading. I said “Do whatever you think would look good on me.” and she did just that. After almost a year of trying different salons..this is my #1. I recommend you give it a try too!

This is my favourite place. I have been coming here for a year now and every single time I feel overwhelmed and obsessed with Emma’s work. She is super cute and nice, listens to what I want and magically does it for me 🥹💝🌸

Negative Review (English): I came here with long natural nails, asking specifically for an almond shape with a French design, keeping the length. Unfortunately, the person who did my nails filed them very poorly — she made them extremely short, uneven, crooked, and way too sharp at the tips. I told her I couldn’t accept them like that because my long nails that I wanted to keep were completely ruined. When I complained, she told me “your nails are naturally crooked”. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years, and no nail tech has ever said that to me — and even if they were crooked, it’s the nail tech’s job to shape and correct them. Instead, I was left with short, uneven nails that were nothing like what I asked for. Because they were too short, I couldn’t even do the French style I wanted and had to settle for a plain red color. Even after making them round, they are still uneven and crooked. I left feeling extremely upset and disappointed. I will not be returning to this salon.

I had such a great experience here!! The staff were super friendly and welcoming the moment I walked in. Lana took her time and made sure everything was perfect. We did the viral pastel yellow with chrome and it was exactly what i wanted, she even mixed colours to get me the perfect shade that i showed her . I left obsessed with my nails. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality work and great service.

Poised Nails is the only salon i go to. I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years now, ever since i moved to Coal Harbor. The place is clean, well maintained with elegant furnishings. The ladies are masters of their craft, they’re all nice. And after a year, i finally found my perfect match in Hannah, and book all my appointments only with her. The price of their services is reasonable too. I highly recommend this nail salon.
