Where do I even begin? I booked an appointment specifically to have my skin assessed by what I was told would be a doctor. When I arrived, I was instead seen by a technician, who asked me to sit while waiting for the doctor who never showed up. Instead of conducting any kind of professional assessment, the technician immediately began asking leading questions about what treatments I was looking for, rather than evaluating my skin herself. It felt completely backwards. I actually had to prompt her to assess my skin, and when she finally did, she looked at it for less than a minute and provided virtually no explanation or insight. She then suggested laser treatments but was noticeably careful not to mention the cost. I had to ask multiple times for details. When I asked to see before-and-after photos, she had to look them up and showed an example of someone with severe acne scarring who was recommended three sessions, which is completely unrelated to my skin, as I have very minimal scarring. When I asked how many sessions I would need, she immediately said three. When I questioned the rationale and suggested starting with one session to evaluate results, she dismissively repeated that I would need three, without providing any explanation whatsoever. From there, the appointment quickly turned into an upsell for their overpriced retinol and vitamin D products, and that was essentially the entire consultation. The experience was a complete waste of time. Being misled into thinking I would see a doctor, the lack of any real assessment, the discomfort the technician seemed to have even evaluating my skin, the attempt to avoid discussing pricing, and the immediate push toward multiple treatment sessions all made it clear what this place is about. It felt far more like a sales pitch than a medical consultation. To make matters worse, I spoke with a manager afterward about my experience. She told me she would call me back to follow up and never did. That alone says everything about how little they care about the way clients are treated. Save your time and your money.

I had high expectations for Dermapure, but my experience was honestly disappointing. The clinic looks nice from the outside, but the service I received didn’t match the price or the reputation. My appointment felt rushed, and I didn’t feel like anyone really took the time to listen to my concerns. I asked a few questions about the treatment plan, but the explanations were very brief and felt a bit sales-oriented rather than personalized. What bothered me most is that I left feeling unsure about the results and with no proper follow-up instructions. For a clinic that advertises premium service, I expected much more care and professionalism. I rarely leave reviews, but I genuinely felt like the value wasn’t there. I hope they improve, but for now I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience.

Dermapure is an exceptionally classy and welcoming medical aesthetics spa. Corey is truly outstanding. I’ve been seeing him for cosmetic treatments and migraine injections for over eight years, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. His professionalism, expertise, and personable nature make every visit comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Having worked in the medical aesthetics industry myself, I’ve had exposure to many well-known and highly regarded injectors in Ottawa, and not one has come close to Cory’s work. He is by far the most knowledgeable, skilled, and honest injector I’ve ever met. What sets Cory apart is not just his expertise, but also the way he genuinely cares about each client as an individual. His attention to detail, artistry, and ability to create natural, balanced results is unmatched. And I can’t forget Kailey — she is absolutely phenomenal!
