Book Beautician Nail Studio & School in Toronto

Overall, I like this place and the location is great, but my experience has been mixed. The regular manicurists who have been working here for years are very good. However, the salon also brings in new specialists often, which makes the service quality inconsistent. In my recent experience, after my manicure I left almost with what I came in with, the cuticles were left frayed and messy. My recent pedicure gave me a lil cut on my toe that was bleeding (this has never happened to me anywhere else before). I would recommend booking with technicians who have many positive reviews and being cautious with new or unfamiliar names, as service quality depends heavily on the individual technician.

This is one of the beat places in Toronto, they use quality products. I have been a client with Zeel for couple of years and she does an amazing job. I never left unhappy. Thank you Zeel

Updated review 2025: I’ve been coming here every few weeks for years and always leave happy. The owner, Oksana, sets a high standard, and all the artists I’ve seen are fantastic especially with Russian manicures. The space has a warm, relaxed vibe with mostly women and something always playing on the TV. It’s consistently great service in a welcoming environment. ———————— I’ve been coming here for the past few months to get my nails done and I’ve always had a good experience. Shout out to my girl Zeal Who always does a very good job. I rarely see another nail artist put in this much attention to detail.

I absolutely adore Caroline from Book Beautician. She always is attentive to my requests and her designs are flawless. She is friendly and a pro at what she does. I do a gel overlay and Caroline applies the builder gel meticulously, paying a great deal of attention to detail. I am always so happy getting my nails done at Book Beautician. I highly recommend this nail salon for anyone who wants to experience comfort and professional nail services.

I liked how quick and easy it was making an appointment here. They communicate promptly using the Google maps messaging feature and it made the whole process really easy because I had a lot of questions that were addressed quickly. In terms of the actual experience, the salon is dated and didn't match the price of the services. The manicure itself used poor quality polishes. In less than a few days, the shellac polish began chipping and in less than a week, an entire nail peeled off. I would expect higher quality especially if I am paying over $50 for a manicure. I did appreciate the time and attention during the manicure. She made sure to pop any bubbles and give me smooth nails. I did end up having a lot of frayed cuticles after a couple of days which is really unfortunate. I did really like the selection of colors they had, a lot of them are hard to find at other salons. I also had a design done but it looked nothing like the inspo picture. I wish I was told that it was something out of their abilities and skill set. The massage chairs were old and noisy but the overall pedicure was done well.
