The Waterfront Spa at Seaside in Vancouver

Disappointing and unprofessional. We booked a couples massage over the phone after several attempts to reach someone at reception. We were given a confirmed date and time for a 1:15 pm appointment, but when we showed up last week for our agreed time, the hotel receptionist told us there was no booking for us in their system. This massage was prepaid for and a birthday gift for my partner, which made it even more upsetting to arrive and find out the appointment didn’t exist. No one from the spa was available to explain what happened, and the woman at reception seemed just as confused as we were. After this happened, I emailed the spa manager right away to ask for an explanation or resolution, and I’ve been waiting ever since with no response at all. Difficult communication, a missing appointment, lack of support when we arrived, and now no follow up have made this an extremely disappointing experience. I do not recommend this place.

I had a pedicure done with Katie. She did an amazing job. Lots of attention to detail and a very relaxing experience. Definitely would recommend this place. Beautiful spa with amazing views and very welcoming staff.

Very average to possibly bad. Nice vibe spa, but no pool (in case you were wondering). They are nice in that they are accommodating (we got a last minute RMT couples massage). However, I got a relatively mediocre massage by Olga. She shook my body multiple times to loosen me up but instead I couldn’t relax much. Then she massaged me over the sheet for 5 minutes per body part before actually using massage oil. Additionally, she used her knuckles a lot on larger muscle groups (thighs/back) so it was quite painful. I think it was her attempt at generating more pressure? Lastly the front staff don’t bill insurance directly. You have to submit it yourself which wasn’t an issue except that they kept sending us the wrong invoice and to the wrong email so bit of hassle to sort that out. Just not something you want to deal with if you’re trying to relax (but this was a minor point). Overall would never go again because it actually irritated us more than relax us after paying almost $400.

The Seaside Spa is situated on the edge of The Shipyard waterfront North Vancouver. This spa is a real gem with massage rooms overlooking the habour. The staff are very kind and warm and make you feel comfortable from the moment you step inside the door. The Masseuse who provided me with a soft tissue massage was quite frankly the best I’ve ever hand. She moved slowly and with great consideration to the energy in the room. I also had a classic facial and that included a neck massage which once again me relax. The experience didn’t disappoint and has left me with a special place to return to. Thank you for this memorable experience. I highly recommend The Seaside Spa.

Waterfront Spa is a lovely and beautiful spa with professional therapists. I have long suffered with my back and from time to time I need a deep to medium tissue massage. Ana, is a very hospitable manager who always takes care of her guests and the complimentary Prosecco is just an icing on the cake. Will definitely recommend the Waterfront Spa to those who need either a sports or recreational massage. In addition, I noticed they offer pedicure and manicure services as well. I also loce the location ans the view is exceptional. You can see the entire Vancouver skyline from the window as you enjoy your treatment.
