Dr. Édouard Coeugniet's passion for raising awareness about lipedema is undeniable! He is truly caring and empathetic towards his patients. It's wonderful to have people who understand your condition and know how to treat it! I was planning to go to Europe, specifically Spain, for liposuction, but when I learned it was possible in Canada, I didn't hesitate. I knew that Dr. Édouard Coeugniet was just as experienced as other specialists abroad and that he shared the same passion and compassion. My surgery went very well. He took the time to wait for me in the recovery room after the procedure, and we chatted for a while. The next day, I was at his clinic in Laval for a follow-up appointment. This was important to me to ensure proper healing and optimal results. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Édouard Coeugniet. I was recently diagnosed at stage 2. So, I went on the search... doing a lot of research lately to what would be the effective treatment option for lipedema. Lipedema Canada Foundation was a big help to me — where I learnt about lipedema awareness & advance treatment. I found that the surgeons in Canada and the U.S were all using vaser liposuction which is contraindicated for lipedema because it is a heated laser. WAL is much more gentle on the lymphatic system. I had my first surgery this year, Water-Jet Assisted Liposuction (WAL) with Dr Édouard Coeugniet at Lipœdème Montréal (with 3.5 liters removed) and am really looking forward to my second treatment. The surgery went better than I had expected, my legs are looking and working so much better already... but one important part in the recovery process is getting Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage. I can’t even imagine what it’ll be like when I am done. I’m so excited for this next chapter of my life. All the nurses and staff are caring and friendly during and after the surgery. Follow up with Dr Édouard Coeugniet is of a great importance too. His professionalism, expertise, and personal care make him a standout in the field. I can not recommend them enough for anyone with lipedema or anyone who is struggling to find answers. Thank you so much to the whole team.
