Huma Spa - Spa sur le toit in Ottawa

I had a greeeeat experience at Huma. The facilities are super clean, modern and beautiful. The outside pools in the rooftop are amazing, specially during winter with the snow. I particularly enjoyed the pressure room and the neural spa rooms, with beautiful view from tall windows. The saunas are also great and the indoor pool with massage chairs in the water are awesome. They also had fruits and tea, and cozy books for reading.

We have been a few times, sometimes just massage, sometimes just access to the baths, and sometimes both! We love it. VERY QUIET. They really enforce it. Lots of comfy places to relax and read. Good selection of pools. It is small, but less hectic than the larger spas for sure. They have a cute store, and huge change rooms. The price is respectable. Great location. Only one time did guests have their phones, and they were being sneaky. I do think it could have a little improvement: it is not clear how to order the food or drinks. I would love to order a smoothie or salad, but I never know who to ask or how to pay for it. - Some of the massage therapists use very little oil. - It would be nice to be able to create an online account and modify your own reservation. I have wanted to cancel or change my arrival time in the past, and while you can book online, you have to call in for any changes.

Fantastic spa - and amazing value! Huma is an urban spa located over two floors on a roof, and so it is not as large as another well-known spa in the region. This being said, we loved it at least as much: facilities are great - the steam room and baths especially come to mind - the open view on the large sky is super relaxing, and cleanliness is second to none. Staff is nice and present but not overbearing at all. Plus, once done and hungry there are a few fun eateries on ground level that are well worth trying. But perhaps the best part is that it is not crowded and it feels like a spa should: no talking and a proper relaxing atmosphere. Add pricing that is sensible and flexible: a 3-hour package on a week night just works! We will be going back, regularly.

10/10 recommend, the place is so calm and worthy. No crowd and such a positive vibe, will surely revisit this place. I had massage with Sandrine she was amazing! Accurate pressure and very soothing massage.

Huma Spa may not be the biggest spa in Quebec, but it offers a surprisingly well-rounded experience. One of its biggest strengths is the calm and peaceful atmosphere — it’s never overcrowded, which allows for a more relaxing day. Despite its modest size, the spa provides a good variety of baths, relaxation areas, and therapeutic zones. They also offer complimentary fruits and a nice selection of herbal teas — all of which were delicious. On the downside, the staff's enforcement of the rules can be inconsistent. Some team members use common sense and are discreet, while others are overly strict and rigid, which made parts of the experience feel unnecessarily stressful. I stayed the entire day, and the shift change between the daytime and evening staff was very noticeable in terms of attitude. Another drawback is the food situation. There is no full restaurant on-site. They used to allow Thai food delivery, which was great, but now it's replaced by “Olivia,” offering only light snacks like soups and salads — not even sandwiches, which feels like a bare minimum for a full-day visit. Thankfully, they allowed us to bring wraps with skewers, cheese, olives, and grapes, which made things more bearable. Still, for guests staying the whole day, better food options would be a welcome improvement. That said, I would still recommend Huma Spa over places like Spa Nordic. Despite some areas that need adjustments, the overall experience was enjoyable and worth it.
