Electrolysis By Seana in Ottawa

I have been visiting Seana most weeks for over a year. We have made excellent progress, thanks to Seana’s experience and proficiency. She came highly recommended and lives up to my expectations. I have tried other electrologists before and I find I have better success and less skin reaction with Seana. Power management and precise insertions are important to control swelling and irritation. Seana works out of her house. She is well equipped and the installation is similar to other studios I have visited. The tools are sterilized and the equipment is well sanitized. Seana is kind and respectful. Her “greeter” is a lovely, friendly golden retriever.

Ive had positive and negative experiences with Seana. I generally liked her and her dogs were friendly, but having tried other places I have some concerns. I thought it was normal for electrolysis to hurt that much, even with numbing cream. Until I tried other practitioners who use microscopes and it hurts a fraction of the amount as it did with Seana. I no longer use numbing cream at all. Other practitioners have also commented some hairs cannot be seen without a microscope. She also would not listen to me on the areas I wished to focus on and I got a LOT of scabbing Seana has made anti-nonbinary comments such as, direct quote, "why do so many trans men think they're nonbinary?" The cleanliness was a big issue. She would often put on her gloves and touch many surfaces, and often has dirty scrubs which i saw her dogs hopping up on. Once I used the washroom and the sink was full of beard hair as though someone had just shaved. Another time I saw multiple spiders hanging from the ceiling above my head. Another issue is frankly she spends a lot of her time telling horrible stories about other electrologists, and after meeting those electrologists part of me wonders if she was doing it to keep business. After having tried 4 other electrologists, I can confirm the person who caused me the most physical pain during sessions, was the least friendly, and cleared the least hair, was Seana.

I have been a long time client with Seana. I have remained with her through different locations because she is a professional and a lovely person:) I always feel comfortable and at ease during electrolysis with her. The results are amazing!

I've been seeing Seana once a week-ish for over a year now. We've made remarkable progress in this time. Seana is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking for electrolysis!

I have been doing electrolysis with Seana for a little over 4 months now. I’m writing this review because the results I have noticed from just a short time span are BEYOND what I expected. Seana works very hard and she is very thorough no matter what part of the body you are receiving electrolysis from her. (Currently, she is doing my whole face.) As a cis man, who is in the process of trying to transition MTF, I have quite a bit of hair to work through. Seana makes every session enjoyable, her work space is clean, tidy and always prepared when I come over. She is friendly, respectful and is very honest when it comes to cost, the plan and outcome of your electrolysis journey. Nowadays, that is hard to find!! I recommend ANYONE looking for permanent hair removal to visit Seana. Whether you are trans, male, female or however you choose to identify. Seana’s space is the safest and most welcoming. Thank you Seana for the continued unwavering support in my journey.
